Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated

Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.

Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat

Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.

Don’t Overstuff the Bag

Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. If you have to work hard to close your zipper(s), your tool bag is most likely overstuffed…proceed with caution!

The pouches construction and overall feel are your standard veto extremely high quality and attention to detail the tape clip is awesome it protects the bag from getting chewed up and the little D rings on the back are awesome hanging stuff but I do have a few complaint about the pouch
1- standard screw drivers don’t sit all the way down in the pockets they don’t fall out but they rest around the top of the slot for them, Not Klein’s, Wera or Wihas and if you have a 10 in 1 it’s not even close you have to use the front facing large slot for them
2- the tunnel loop where the bag attaches to your belt is abosolutley infuriating I think it’s because the attachment point to your belt is too thin (if you look how wide the bag is the tunnel loop is very short compared to it) but it has a tendency to swing in front of your leg or behind your butt and it won’t stay put on your hip it’s an easy fix I just ziptie it to my tool belt but if you plan on attacthing this on your pants belt and not a dedicated tool belt I can see this being a massive annoyance

I had high expectations of this tool pouch but the execution didn’t quite hit the mark. There are a few design choices that I would change. The front two exterior pockets are almost useless. The promotional images show the pockets holstering a tic tester and a Sharpie. My pouch absolutely does not fit my Klein tic tester because the pockets are too small. But it is also a little too big for a Sharpie because it falls right through the bottom if you don’t use the pen’s clip. The front two pockets are only good for temporarily holstering some tools for me. I would have preferred if those pockets were made a little larger or closed at the bottom. The two side exterior pockets are almost perfect. The bottoms of these pockets are also cut out to fit drivers longer than 4″. I can fit all sorts of screwdrivers snug. However, the bottoms aren’t completely cut out holes. There is a corner of leather on both pockets. Every time I put a driver in either pocket, the tips always hits those corner parts. So my drivers aren’t holstered snug in the pockets until I wiggle the drivers to get them fully through the bottom. I am hoping that the leather will eventually loosen up over time and alleviate that problem.

Other than those issues, the overall construction is stupendous. It’s rugged and looks very professional. The two interior pockets are great. The rear interior pocket fits my 9.5″ pliers perfectly snug and the front interior pocket can hold a few more tools. The “Stuffer Blocker” is a clever idea that doesn’t get in the way and works perfectly as intended. I was a little concerned that a flap of extra leather would literally flap around but it doesn’t. I have my tool pouch on its own clip belt so that I can swing the pouch around my waist. The stuffer definitely keeps the pouch in place in my back pocket when I need to. The snap button is very strong so you will never need to worry about this tool pouch falling off from you. There are two D-rings, one on each side, that completes the symmetry making this pouch very versatile. A lanyard is included for electrical tape. To top it off, you have a classy stainless steel measuring tape clip.

I like this pouch and I will continue to use it. It’s just that the four of the six pockets that I have issues with prevent this from being the most perfect pouch that I have ever used. It gets 3/5 stars from me. It’s a good pouch but not as great as I anticipated.
